Goldie Locks silhouette and shape
I found this true to size. It is a bit hard to judge what you are getting between the photos and the reviews. The online photo on the model looks a little longer than I found it in real life, but the online photo of the shirt on its own is way shorter and boxier than I found it. I'd say it is very similar to the photo with the model, but maybe an inch or two shorter. I am not a big fan of the ribbing, but that does keep it more substantial and less sheer, I think. I love the deep vneck and find it extremely flattering. If you size up, you might possibly risk it showing a bra strap or slipping down your shoulder a bit, so I'd beware of that. I get annoyed at people who yell "size up" or "size down" with no context. I have broad shoulders but narrow torso and thicker bum and thighs. So this shirt is kinda great for me. I am sick to death of tops that are shaped like an A or narrow in shoulder and armpit-to-armpit but wide from the chest down. I look frumpy and like a bag lady in that. This isn't quite a V shape but is closer to that silhouette, which works much better for me. The most flattering for me is usually a shirt that hits at the waist or below the bum. At 5'9", finding either one of those is tough. This is kinda just right. It's also not boxy, but not fitted snug like a tank undershirt - it has a nice shape that is right along the body but not tight. AND - the sleeves are long enough! It's the perfect shape without being too tight or too boxy. It will look good with just about anything and won't be frumpy under a cardigan or jacket. And I don't think it's a crop top at all. And I'm long-waisted. I also don't wear low rise pants. I often need to size up due to neckline, armhole height, length, etc....... my usual size M was just right at 5'9", 140 lbs. So - it depends on your body shape and preference of how you like your clothes to fit or what you wear it with, but I like it a lot and think it's a good value. Hope it washes ok. For sure, won't put this in the dryer.
