Perfect
These boots fit me perfectly! The full-length dual zippers make these boots unique while also making it easier to put them on. They are true to size - I wear a 9.5 in most shoes/boots and purchased these in a 9.5 Med (Wide Calf). I'm 5'5" and have approx 17.5" calves and they fit like a glove. I'm able to wear them with skinny jeans, leggings, or ponte pants. I will be purchasing another pair of these in the Whiskey full grain leather.

HUGE calf width
The calves on these are HUGE! I ordered the regular width, and they were ridiculous. I had several inches to spare. I don't think these would work for anyone without gigantic calves. Really disappointing because they are otherwise very cute boots.

Beautiful yet hard to break in
The cookie dough color is actually darker than it shows online, but the leather is beautiful. I have this boot in the peltro distressed leather as well, and the cookie dough are much tougher to break in. It's difficult to walk down stairs and crouch in them--hurts around the ankle. The actual foot part is very comfortable, though. I'm hoping these will feel great in time.

Sadface
I wanted these to work more than I want to win the Powerball. For reals. I got "cookie dough" color and they were more than I could have asked for. Seriously, the color is perfect, the style is awesome... but.... I have really skinny legs. This is an issue for me with every boot. There is a generous 2 inch gap all around the top. I put them on the second they were delivered and my legs look toothpicks stuck into a mason jar. I am crushed. Needless to say, they must be returned. And I may have to take a day off of work to mourn.

Great in some ways and not so much in others.
The good:
This boot featured slightly distressed leather (I got the black leather) which I liked. The foot bed itself was very comfortable and the heel height was perfect. I'm not into torturing myself for pretty shoes anymore. If it's not comfortable, I won't wear it. And I would wear these had I kept them.
The bad:
I initially tried on the wide calf, which was huge, and I don't normally fit in regular boots. So then I tried the regular, and those were fine for my wider calves but the top of the boot still splayed out way too much. I'm 5' 1" and the edge of the top of the boot would push rather uncomfortably against the back of my upper thigh.
The gist:
I think this would be a great boot for someone taller, so that the top of the boot would land at a wider point at the calf...maybe. But if you have true "regular" calves, you will find these wide, even in the regular calf size.

not for petite girls
These boots are awesome and super comfortable. Great quality and color. I really wanted to keep them but the calf circumference was too large, I have average calf size not athletic not skinny. At 5'1 they were almost to tall but I would have kept them if it wasn't for the calf area being too large. Overall they just looked too big on a petite girl.

Almost perfect
I would easily give these a 5 star rating on a normal day. I LOVE them - they are beautiful and very very comfortable, even when I'm walking around for 12 hours. I usually wear them over jeans.
HOWEVER, as I sadly discovered, they are NOT waterproof. I ended up with wet socks when I stepped into a small pile of snow. I am disappointed as I'd expect something better from Born.
I will of course continue to wear them though because... GORGEOUS!
