'Hemlock' Boot

I dig Born. I dig their boots. Born is very well established and has a lengthy history of quality versus quantity. I've worn a lot of boots from western to casual and to say the least, Born comes out on top every time. Honestly, it is a matter of opinion and your preference. I prefer a more semi-fashionable look than most. Some like comfort and me, I like comfort and fashion. Born doesn't take fashion to the extremes, but they appeal to a certain crowd. You're either in or out. Now, my favorite of them all are these; Hemlock. I've messed around with the sizing but they remain TRUE TO SIZE. If you wear a true size 9, stick to size 9 in these, unless you plan on wearing thick socks, then order a half size up. I am a true size 8. All of my sneakers (converse, jack purcells, sperry's) are size 8. However, the size 8.5 in these bad boys fits just right with little room to breathe. Yes, I do wear thick socks when I wear my Hemlocks. I just ordered the Born "Twain" Chukka in size 8 (no half sizes available), but I'm curious to know how they will fit with thin socks. My guess, true to size, but looking forward to the comfort level.

Listen I've been a fan since way back. I bought these hopeful my husband would like them for comfort. My "complaint" isn't with the leather, the quality but rather the lack of choices. My husband is a big guy 6'4" he wears a 12 Wide. I was hoping that ordering up would proportionately make up for the fact that apparently, they do not offer anything but a standard "Medium width" on anything. Needless to say, Boots were loved, tried on, comfortable but too narrow for wearing comfort. Had to return.
