Brin Ballet Flat (Women)

This is a well-made ballet flat. A few things to note: 1) It's very very true to size. One of my feet is about a 1/2 size smaller than the other, so I put a heel pad in the back of the shoe on the smaller foot and I was good to go. 2) I ordered the Medium width and found the shoe runs a little wide. No so much that it can't be worn or that I walk out of it, but enough that it has a little play on the sides and gaps very slightly as I walk. This is true for both my size 11 and my size 10 1/2 foot. 3) The vamp on the flat is a little higher up than my normal ballet flats. It covers my toes completely. 4) The shoe has arch support, but it isn't very high (noted for those who need full arch support.) For those who aren't fond of arch support, it really is not bad and since my first outing in them I haven't been conscious of the support. My feet and calves notice though and are very happy. 5) This is a true squared off/very slightly rounded toe ballet flat. It does look like a ballet shoe, which I like. 6) The shoe is very well constructed with a nice "walking shoe" sole and a nice soft cushioned interior. While the sole is pretty sturdy it doesn't look clunky and doesn't take away from the "cute ballet flat" look. 7) The heel is very low, like a traditional ballet flat. Overall a comfy shoe and with the addition of heel pads (thank you local drug store!) it's a perfect ballet flat for my hard to fit feet.

If you like bloody heels ... then this is the shoe for you. I haven't had an issue with a good brand shoe in a long time -- Born broke my lucky streak. At first, I thought that maybe they just needed to be broken in ... the second time I wore them, the torture to my feet was much worse. All I did was walk from my car to my office building. It's as if the upper lining has tiny razor blades sewed in. I wish I could return them.
