Audrey Diamond Tennis Bracelet

I have been looking to buy this bracelet since I saw it in store over a year ago. I loved the teeny tiny diamonds and it looked perfect for my stack. I hesitated because of the reviews describing problems with the weak clasp but when I visited the Hawaii Nordstrom the salesperson told me the clasp could be replaced with a three point closure (the most secure for tennis bracelets). I saw it had gone on anniversary sale previously so I waited and it went on sale again. I purchased two from the San Francisco store (it was sold out online) and brought it to my local Nordstrom only to be told the clasp could not be converted to a three clasp and it would cost $80 per bracelet. As someone who formerly worked in the fine jewelry business I can say unequivocally the clasp on this piece is too fragile and it will break off if worn daily. Prong settings around diamonds catch on fabric all the time, and bracelets get the most abuse after rings. As you put clothes on and off bracelets get caught and pulled. The current clasp is appropriate for a delicate necklace but on this piece at minimum there should be a lobster clasp. With consistent reviews complaining of the clasp breaking Nordstrom should be replacing the clasp as a courtesy or sending to back to the designers and asking for the modification. If a new version comes out with the different clasp would totally buy this. It's very unique in being so small and dainty.

Bony Levy Reps, please listen to your customers . . . this clasp is terrible and simply doesn't work! I gave it three stars because it's a beautiful classic design and very dainty (which I wanted) but this clasp is just too small and insecure and I can see why the other reviewers gave it such bad reviews. The design is beautiful and I would have bought both the white gold and the yellow gold had the clasp been more substantial beyond a simple little jump ring. Too difficult to get on and off without help and I'm afraid I would lose it within a week. I included pictures and that's a very close up photo but it actually appears much smaller in person. It's not even a small lobster clasp as I thought it was based on the online photo. Sadly, I returned it.

One of my most complimented pieces of jewelry and wore daily UNTIL I lost it for a second time and this time permanently. Bon Levy needs to redesign that clasp and especially since it’s of really good quality, a little more investment will do well for this product. Until that happens, I will advise those who ask to not purchase.
