Vista Rugged Waterproof Boot (Women)

I have been looking for a winter boot replacement for 3 years. I felt like the shoe goddesses finally rewarded my search. Alas, no. This boot checked all the boxes in style, weight, looks, height, and no doubt performance, except the ankle opening is tooooo narrow to let you get it on! UGH! Who thought of this design? I even love the inner zipper liner as it must have been designed to keep out any moisture that might come through the zipper. If, you can get it on, congratulations. I continue my pursuit. It is being returned.

I purchased this boot just over one year ago (as of last week). Last night, without warning, the seam between the wedge heel and the upper part of the boot split as I was taking off one boot! I have never had such a thing happen with a pair of boots before, especially with boots that still look new. They were very comfortable, but I noticed after my first time walking in the rain with them, that they were not waterproof. My feet were getting wet at the bottom. As many have complained, these boots are hard to get on and off. I believe that pulling off the boots, as one normally does with boots, puts strain on the flimsy bond between the upper and lower parts of the boot. This may have been why my feet were getting wet in the rain from the first three months of wearing them. The photo of the green inside of the shoe is now showing. I’m very disappointed since these boots were so versatile and perfect for my UK and EU travels. Sadly, they will need to retire now.

I really wanted these boots to work for travel to a rainy climate, but they are impossible to put on because of a short zipper and a narrow top opening. No amount of struggling, twisting or turning helped get my average size 8 foot into the boot. Perhaps others have discovered a trick to squeezing into these. They look just fine and waterproof. Very disappointed.

These boots exceeded my expectations upon arrival. You can get away dressing them up or wearing them casually. They look really classy, you can tell they're a well made shoe. I love the detail of the different fabrics/materials. The height of the wedge is great, too. It's enough to give you a little lift but not too tall to make them uncomfortable (especially being someone who doesn't wear wedges that often). The Bloom footbed delivers extreme comfort- so comfortable I don't even want to take them off after wearing them all day. I'm extremely happy with these boots & receive lots of compliments when I wear them.
