Juniper Insulated Hiker Lace-Up Boot (Women)

I bought these because I have a tall pair of Bogs that I love. I wanted something easier to drive while wearing and shorter so I don't have to tuck my pants in. I'm a size 9.5 and once again bought a size 10 (no half sizes). These fit much more like a 9.5 probably because they run narrow - I do have extra length in the toe box. They fit me comfortably and they've been great for working outdoors

These boots have a lot going for them: they are attractive, comfortable, truly waterproof, and lightweight. But there are some irritating qualities, too. The zipper isn't well made, and catches for me pretty frequently. And the amount of slack between the zippered sides is insufficient, so I have to unlace them to get them on even when the zipper is down, a particular annoyance. Additionally, these do not breathe as well as leather or other hiking boot materials. While I am happy wearing them on dog walks and trips to the grocery store, I am no longer wearing them as all-day shoes. One week of rain I wore them to work 5 days in a row and promptly got athlete's foot. And finally: they do not come in size 36, a common women's size. I can make them work with my insoles and larger socks, but would prefer to have them in 36.
