Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics was founded in 1990 with the introduction of 10 super-wearable lipstick shades. Revolutionary foundation sticks soon followed, as well as a complementary skin care line that underscored the brand's purpose: to enhance the natural beauty of the wearer—working with what's already there, without any artificial colors—so a woman always looks and feels like herself.

This will not budge!
I will only admit this under anonymity on the internet, but there have been several times in the last year where I slept in my makeup. Yep, it happens. And I'm admitting this to illustrate just how transfer and fade proof this liner really is. The rest of my makeup was all over the place, on the pillow, smeared on my face. But the liner remained virtually exactly as it was applied the (gulp) day before.
So yes, it's pretty long wearing and I find that it wears great during the day, too!
Other things I like about this liner:
- The colors are amazing, something for everyone. If black is too harsh on you, try the chocolate brown which will give you a lot of impact without being too cool toned. If you have brown eyes, the plum is amazing. It reads black from far away, but it's so warm and flattering.
- Even though this sets after a while, you still have time to work with it. The formula is very creamy, so if you want to blend, you have time to do so without it "locking" onto your lid and being uncomfortable or unflattering to blend.
- Actually works in the waterline/inner rim area. It doesn't run, it stays true and as someone with very sensitive eyes, it's one of only two or three pencils I can use without getting the dreaded red eye when using it on the inner rims.
- If you practice, you can also use this sparingly and with a creme shadow blending brush (or a clean finger) for an entire lid or crease "shadow" that has serious staying power. One of the best smokey eyes I've ever done is just this pencil in plum all over the crease and lid very lightly and then full on as a liner.
Bottom line: Great staying power, creamy formula that is blendable, but once it's set, it's there for a long time without fading. Great colors that are very flattering and can be layered over with powders or pigments.

Extremely Disappointed!
I usually love Bobbi Brown products, both makeup and skincare, so I was particularly disappointed with this eyeliner. Maybe it's not for more mature skin (57 years) because it skipped and dragged when I tried to apply it. It was SO incredibly drying that I could not make an even line with it. I returned it and went back to her gel eyeliner in the pot which is much creamier and easy to apply.

too fat, hard to sharpen/use
I was excited to have an alternative to the cream gel liner/brush I usually use,but the pencil is much fatter than I expected and when I try to sharpen the point breaks and falls away. The line is too fat to use as is for me --not age appropriate. But it is long lasting, so there are some good points although I won't purchase again.

Stays put on the eye lid.
Really does stay put and doesn't crease which has always been a problem for me. I do find that it doesn't glide on as smoothly if I'm using it over Bobby Brown's eye shadow cream. So far this is the best eye pencil I've used. Have it both in the black and mahogany.

long wearing eyeliner
I bought 2 more colors in this pencil (Smoke and Mahogany) since I previously had black plum and liked how it stayed on.
The Mahogany color is nice but not really brown, but more a brownish grey, which is fine as I was looking for an eyeliner to go with BB eyeshadow Stone. However the Smoke color which I would have assumed would be grey is more blue????
What's odd to me is that the color looks so different on the back of your hand then it does when you put it on your eyes. Not sure why.
I gave this 4 stars for it's wearability. I would suggest testing in the store on your eyes, to get the right color

Nice color but.....
Loved the color BUT the product was too soft to sharpen and went on too thick for my purpose
