Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics was founded in 1990 with the introduction of 10 super-wearable lipstick shades. Revolutionary foundation sticks soon followed, as well as a complementary skin care line that underscored the brand's purpose: to enhance the natural beauty of the wearer—working with what's already there, without any artificial colors—so a woman always looks and feels like herself.

Five Stars
Bobbi Brown's long-wear eye base is the best I have ever used. I have tried many different bases--all high-end names that you would recognize as 'designer brands'. I am 60+ years old and shadows tend to either fade or crease as the day goes on. This shadow base offers a smooth texture that prevents the color from fading and the shadow from creasing. I would highly recommend this product to young and old(er) alike.

Not long-wear
This product did not provide long-wear for my powder shadow. Also, the light color is VERY light - the color of vanilla ice cream.

Best Primer Ever But to Make it LAST:
I noticed many people complaining about this primer drying out too fast - I found that if you SHAKE it each time you're removing the doe foot applicator, dot your eye area then close the primer - it will not dry out. I shake this a lot and it lasts, Before I did this, I thought the same - that it wasn't worth the cost if it's going to dry out so fast - but that is, I believe, the reason many people say there is nothing in this bottle or it dries up. SHAKE SHAKE , dot dot - CLOSE it, then blend the primer on eye area. Very little is needed so maybe people are applying way too much hence their complaint about it not lasting or drying out. I use mine with Bobbi Brown eye color creme sticks - which last without creasing anyway (I forgot to apply primer before but that shadow stayed put all day).

Helpful Addition to Morning Routine
I appreciate the longevity that this base adds to my eye shadow. My only complaint is that the tube dries quickly and needs to be replaced more often than similar products. Regardless, I still keep coming back.

Eyeshadow primer
I recently purchased the Bobbi Brown eyelid primer. I have very sensitive skin, and have tried several similar products. I often felt a tightening,or itching sensation, bot not with this product!
The Bobbi Brown eyelid primer felt creamy, and spread easily.
My eyeshadow stays on all day, crease free, and best of all,no allergic reaction. I highly recommend this product.

Better than the competitors
Good but not great. I suspect it will be improved as the market begins to absorb it more. Nordie's is a test market for BB stuff and BB's lid base here is in America only available right now at Nordie's so... enjoy.
My experience is that compared to what's out there right now, this one is the best but that is not saying a lot. One needs to thoroughly moisturize the lids regularly for the stuff not to look cake-y no matter how small an amount and how light the blend pressure used. Moisturizing the lid night and day with a good moisturizer for those over 40 in particular is critical to getting this stuff on without it being spotty. If this had a bit more moisture when it first touches the skin, it would be sensational.
I use in place of shadow to get rid of redness (particularly in high allergy times like spring or highly sensitive lids) - stays on better and looks of course much more natural.
Color-wise, I think the colors could be better. They need more inbetwee shades and certainly need to change to a numbering system as the labeling just confuses everybody.
Here's how I apply it to lessen the spotty-ness that can result: multiple tiny dots all over lid and very lightly then with finger tips touching ("stippling") to blend. It dries too fast to use a brush very effectively in my experience. Once it's on, nothing on earth except remover will take it off.

Long wear base really wears
I have used BB products for over 15 years and this one doesn't disappoint. It really wears well and adds that little extra coverage to hide the redness on my eyelids. I'd prefer a tube for application, but the sponge end works OK. I just dab a bit on then work it around with my fingers going from eyelash to eyebrow. I purchased it in light and it's the perfect color to match my light skin tone and blue eyes.
