Full Protection
So I had a bluestone visor two summers ago. Wore it to hike, to the beach, in the pool. It provided the ultimate UV protection. It eventually broke as I left it out in the sun & it got warped, and Nordstrom’s wasn’t carrying them anymore at the time so I bought a cheaper Amazon version, which I then wore to all the same places. After one summer of wearing the Amazon version, I had pigmentation issues ALL over my face. You get what you pay for. I am reordering the bluestone visor and will never buy a different brand again. The Amazon ones say they have UV protection, but after using both I can truly say the ones from Amazon are NOT protective. It’s your face. Invest in it. These are about $40 more but we’ll worth it, at least to me :)

Does not protect from UV
I used a UV lamp to test if the shield protected from UV lamp and it did not pass the $20 bill test. The safety strip lit up when I pointed at the dollar through the shield.

Love it!
I bought my visor’s directly from Bluestone but I wanted to add, people stop telling folks to buy shields on Amazon. Those things do not block out 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays like these visors. That is what you are paying for. I have 3 and I love them for when I get chemicals peels or any slightly abrasive skin treatments. They are worth every dollar.

Can trust to actually block UV
I’m response to the many reviews about the price of this item, I would say that, rightly or wrongly, I am more inclined to trust a visor carried by Nordstrom then the random $10 ones on Amazon. I initially ordered a cheap Amazon one and my husband, who can read Chinese, told me that none of the packaging indicated that there was any UV protection.

Protect your face from the sun
I love my sun visor . Makes a big difference while driving especially on the side of the face when the sun is hitting.
