I'm very disappointed in the "perfect" shower cap. Although it is roomy and well made, it performs the opposite of its intended function by wicking moisture inside. The edge of the plastic cap is bound in an absorbent fabric which pulls moisture to the terrycloth liner. By the time my shower is over, a full inch and a half of terry cloth around the edging is soaked, along with the hair that touches it. I have tried wearing a headband and pulling my hair toward the center of the cap. This keeps loose hair out of the way of the water, but an inch or two of hair still gets wet from ear to ear. If the cap had cost $5, I wouldn’t have been surprised, but at $18, I expected more.
