Suede Moto Jacket

I purchased a size medium in the hydrangea color. Lately I have been purchasing BLANKNYC suede moto jackets in mediums to accommodate light sweaters to wear underneath in the winter. I have both size small and medium in a bunch of colors to wear with different layers underneath. I usually wear a cami or thin t-shirt underneath the small jackets during the fall. The smalls fit perfectly but there isn't much extra room for thick layers. For reference I am 5'7 and 135lbs.

Anything lilac is an immediate buy for me. I’ve been trying to find the perfect jacket, and when I saw this in the Lilac shade I ordered it immediately and even opted for two day shipping because I wanted it ASAP! I waited anxiously and wondered if I was too hasty in splurging, since quite a few of the reviews for this jacket said it runs extremely small. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. She just arrived and I love her! I don’t know if I’d call it Lilac though—I think mauve is more accurate because it’s a tad darker than pictured. I was hoping for something a bit lighter with more of a pink tone but I still love it. My only issues upon closer inspection is some of the seam work looks shoddy, especially on the straps for the belt. It looks like if I’m not gentle with this jacket it might fall apart on me, so keep that in mind if you’re rough on your outerwear. There’s also a funky smell which is probably from the dye and I hope fades with time. As far as fit goes, Nordstrom doesn’t provide measurements so I had to source a few other websites and hope for the best. I’m 5’7 and wear a M/L depending on the brand, I ordered a large and it fits well but is tight around my bust (36DD) and sits right at my waist line, so it is a little more cropped than I expected.

I was so excited to get the red rock color jacket as it appears to be a rich deep reddish brown in the photos. I was so disappointed when my jacket arrived today and I opened it to find a lighter caramel colored jacket instead. Not sure if this is a fluke or if all the red rock jackets are actually misrepresented- wish it was the deep richer brown shown on the website. Will be returning :(

I'm a sucker for jackets and outerwear, and really wanted to love this suede jacket. However, when it arrived there were black scuff marks all over thet right slee and around the belt at the waist that I didn't dare try to get out on my own. The jacket was also VERY unflattering. The model makes it look like the jacket comes down to the hip due to her high-waisted jeans... let me tell you, it DOES NOT. This jacket barely covered my belly button! On top of this, when worn the jacket looks very bulky and lumpy, and it does not lay smooth on the body. The bodice is very boxy and overall doesn't look great (zipped or unzipped). I had to return.

Really tight for a medium. The color was awful too so I returned this particular jacket. I already have the same size in berry and I love it so I thought this would be just as good. Not sure what went wrong with this one! Anyway...Nordstrom are altogether a class act with the free shipping and free returns it takes a lot of the stress and hassle out of shopping on line!
