Elevated Birkenstocks
I love these so much I bought two pairs. I prefer them to the 1774 Birkenstocks which are more than double the price of these. These will be my new go to.

Cheap Quality
I am very confused by the other reviews. I have 4 other pairs of Birkenstocks and these are so cheap in quality in comparison. The footbed feels like plastic, the metal buckle is cheap, flimsy, and looks spray painted gold, and the leather straps cut your foot as soon as you put them on. Disappointing to say the least since they are more expensive than the other sandals.

frayed stitching
I have worn mine for less than 4 hours in total and the stitching is already fraying. I don’t find them uncomfortable and love the look. Will exchange in hopes it was just a dud pair

Hoped for better....
When I saw this collab with STAUD I was excited! They looked so cute in the promotional photos. I ordered them as soon as they dropped and wanted my first pair of the big buckle Birkenstocks. Unfortunately, the croc embossed leather looks really cheap and the gold finishes, just do not look like a $200 Birk. Returned and bought the big buckle in the oiled leather.

Sadly, not comfortable!
I love Birkenstocks and I love Staud! But, I had to return this pair ... they were unbelievably uncomfortable. The leather is hard and has a sharp edge/stitching. I thought it would cut into my foot. (I even had my college-age daughter try on and she agreed with me.)

Very cute, need to carefully break them in first
When I found out about the Birkenstock x Staud collaboration, I really wanted to get my hands on these. I think they're very cute in person -- the color is rich and I like the contrast stiching that makes this design really pop. One thing I will say is that these were not ready to wear right out of the box -- the leather straps are stiff and even a bit sharp, so I've been carefully breaking them in with thick socks and by filing down (slightly) the leather edges where it touches my foot. Most Birkenstocks require some break-in period for the footbed anyway.
