'Milano' Sandal

My husband has hard to fit feet (wide, extremely high arches, one size difference between feet) and is very fussy about footwear. It took me years to get him to try these sandals. Now he is on his second pair and it is even harder to get him to wear anything else! He loves his Birkies.

The Milano adds a third strap to keep your heel secured. AFTER your feet have adjusted to the very aggressive Birkenstock arch support, your feet will feel great. A good approach is to wear the Milano's two hours a day the first week, four hours a day the second week and all day the third week. Wearing socks (call the fashion police) will protect your feet while the straps soften up. Use Birkenstock cork sealer every eight weeks and keep your Milano's away from water. They will provide years of service before you need to replace the cork or the outer sole.

Great sandals with usual Birkenstock fit and feel. Color is more of an olive with the faded look.

They do improve your posture

This is my second pair and they are more comfortable than I remember them right out of the box. I love the new faded khaki color as well.
