First time purchaser and talk about POOR QUALITY!!
I purchased these sandals and thought with all the raves about Birkenstock they would have been manufactured at a better quality than a pair purchased at a cheap market.. First off I purchased NARROW and the shoes are still TOO WIDE. If you try adjusting the width by synching the straps tighter, forget about it! All it does is break down the cork sole and the shoes are still too wide. Secondly, for the price you would figure they would last longer than 3 months before looking like complete TRASH! The bottom sole flattened out in odd locations (not even on my pressure spots!!) and before you knew it I was walking on cork! Thirdly, they arrived in a large brown plain box (not manufacture box) with no tissue, no nothing.. other than the shoes. I don’t know whether to believe I got a defective pair or if Birkenstocks are a waste of money. Either way I returned them and I won’t be getting back on the Birktrain any time soon. This cheaply made brand is a hard pass for this gal!

Love my new Birkenstocks
This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. They won’t be my last. I watched a YouTube video on proper ft bed fit. I bought my usual size, they are true to size. I wear a medium width. This particular shoe came in a C D . I did have to tighten the straps/buckles for a comfortable snug fit. I love the color - lots of compliments. Seems everyone has a great Birkenstock story!

Perfect nude color
I have been in search for a different style aside from the Gizeh or Arizona so when the Franca style came out, I bought the “nude” color and have received compliments. I used it recently to walk around for 5 miles around town and no complaints from my feet. I have been particular about shoes and sandals since my bunionectomy and this one works!

Poor Fit And Poor Quality
Personally, I found this to be an ill-fitting sandal and not top quality. I couldn’t tighten the straps correctly to get a proper fit and I thought the leather was not high quality. This sandal is nit made like the Birkenstocks of old. I returned it.

Recommend for comfort and looks
My shoe size is between a 39 and a 40, but my feet are wide. I first ordered the 39, but the length was just a bit short (perfect if your feet are glued in place), but it pinched my little toe. Sent them back and got the 40. The 40s are just a bit long, but not ridiculously so. I actually like having a little space at the end of my toes. The 40 was comfortable width-wise. I do recommend watching a fitting video put out by Birkenstock (find one on you-tube) so you know what the ideal is. Then try them on at home, around the house. I wore mine out for a whole day without breaking them in first, and my feet felt great at the end of the day. If you're not used to arch support, you have to get used to how it feels. The soles are cushioned and the leather is soft and comfortable. I got the sandcastle nubuck, and I love how they look and go with everything that's not super-formal. The perfect neutral. Nordstrom has a great, easy return policy so you have nothing to lose.
