Boston Genuine Shearling Lined Clog (Women)

I purchased these in the mocha color and they are even cuter on your feet than in the picture. I live in CA so these are perfect for how cold it gets here. Great to slip on for the school run in the morning or to quick errands. I personally can't stand Uggs and how they stretch out and end up looking messy. If you're like me, you'll love these. the cork footbed (underneath the shearling) gives the whole clog a very sturdy rigid shape. Prior to purchasing I read the reviews where it seems like people were split on whether they run large or small. I wear an 8 in converse, a 9 in nike and about an 8.5 in everything else. I ordered these in both the (8-8.5) and (9-9.5). I ended up keeping the (9-9.5). Because of the molded footbed, you'll know right away which size is too small on you, and while the shearling might squish down over time, the shoe and footbed won't actually get any larger (like Uggs). If you're in-between sizes, i would suggest getting the slightly larger option. Birkenstocks aim for healthy alignment of your feet and you don't want them squished at all. There is also an adjustment you can make with the buckle to tighten or loosen the top customizing them to your foot. the quality of these is really great. they're made in Germany and I can tell I'm going to have these for years and years.

I have worn Birkenstocks for many many years and know the sizing very well. I ordered 2 pair of the fleece lined Boston because although I always wear 36 medium, I thought with the fleece lining in addition to wearing socks in winter I may need the larger size. I recieved the order promptly and tried both sizes and neither of them fit correctly because they are narrow...not regular or B (medium) as listed! Regular width (pictured with an outline of a foot) is truly a medium width which is what I wear. It is not wide although the shoes naturally look wide because of the shape. When I saw the boxes with the filled in skinnier shape of a foot on each box then I knew they were the narrow width. You can see this if you look at the top view picture. When I tried them on, they both fit pretty well in length but I could feel the ridges on the sides and the foot bed did not fit correctly. Medium Birkenstocks have an outline foot picture (not filled in) and unless you have a true narrow foot then the narrow footbed will not fit correctly which is my only reason for the 1 star rating here. Since the regular width is obviously not available at Nordstron then I need to purchase elsewhere.
