Arizona Big Buckle Slide Sandal (Women)

The color Dove Grey is a little darker than looked online. But that is good because was worried about keeping them clean. They are a little stiff but will be spraying to protect. Maybe that will help soften a bit. They are definitely quality. And the fit is right on. Have worn a 39 in Birkenstock since the 70’s. That’s what I call consistent sizing. Never have to worry with online purchase with Birks r/t sizing. I’m sure these will get me through the summer as my “goes with everything sandal.” With no worries!!

This would be a great Birk except that Nordstrom misrepresents the sizing. Nordstrom has “B” width indicated for all Birks on their site, when in fact most of them are the narrow size. When the little foot icon is filled in, it’s a narrow width Birk; when the little foot icon is not filled in (more of an outline), it’s regular width. Nordstrom needs to say narrow or regular in their width sizing, not just B for everything. And more regular widths are needed.

Got these in Orchid, which leans a bit more to the pinkish side of the spectrum than purple. The *Big Buckle burks always seem to be stiffer, and the ride isn't as cushy since they're not the 'soft footbed'. However, my pair is breaking in nicely, and it didn't take days and days. I've a pair of the oil-rubbed big buckles in black that are still stiff. Also happy to report that that infamous horrid 'squeaking' which is more like a 'foot-fart', dose not happen with these since the foot bed is lined with suede instead of that super smooth leather which causes a suction with the foot! YAY! Thank You, Birkenstock! The suede foot bed is also so much more soft and comfy. Common sense must prevail to keep them clean...good luck with the white soles though! Fit is TTS. '

I usually wear an 8-8.5 in sandals so I tried on a 39 in store and they fit perfect! I have semi-wide feet and was able to adjust the straps and fit comfortably. The associate inside Nordstrom was very kind and helpful and he gave me tidbits about how the shoe should fit and how they begin to mold with the natural shape of your foot. He said the toes should NOT spill out of your sandals but instead fit comfortably inside along the front edges. Soon, the shoe will begin to soften and mold with your feet and toes! I bought the Orchid and I love them. They go with anything and any color. I treated myself to my first pair of Birkenstalk's on the first day of Spring and so glad I did! I also just did a half hour walk and they were comfy too!

I love Birkenstocks and I'm not afraid to break in a new pair of shoes, but the leather on these was so firm that I think it would have destroyed my feet to break them in. Or you'd have to use some serious leather conditioner, which would change the color of the leather. Bummed because they're cute but maybe avoid if you have weeny feet.

I was so happy to get these in the mint green color, but they made so much noise when I walked...I am a teacher, and my students said "they sound like ducks quacking"! They were also more stiff. My other Birkenstocks do not make noise and are all super comfortable, so not sure what's up with these. They are so cute, but too annoying and not comfortable.
