Able to do dbl duty: casual AND dressy
You are definitely paying a little extra for that little extra finer quality velvet, breathable inside faux fur, and the non-slip sole. I'm okay with that, of course! The only weird thing that I noticed was in trying to decide which size to go with. At first, trying to get into my regular size felt forced but the half size up was too loose around the toe box. I eventually got into my regular size and decided to go with that and I'm happy that i did. The birdie just needs about 1 to 2 days to break it in so that your foot slips in and out comfortably. i am a mother of 2 toddlers and have already worn these to the park and they still come out looking great. I purchased another pair bc I loved them so much. Totally convinced.

Darling Starling Flats...
I really liked the look of these shoes and I really wanted them to work out. When I first put them on they were so tight and uncomfortable. But I read that you need to break them in and if you give them time they will become super comfortable, like wearing slippers. So I tried and wore them around the house. But eventually I realized they just weren't going to work for me so had to return them. I do have high arches and bunions so not sure if that was part of the problem. If these work for you I'm sure you'll love them :)

Buy your original size.
Cute shoes! I was not familiar with the brand, but I loved the shoe. I ordered my original size and a 1/2 size larger. I decided to keep the 1/2 size larger because I was afraid the velvet wouldn't stretch. I wish I had kept the other size. They are very loose after wearing twice. They will be fine for a year. Next time I'm buying my original size.

Gorgeous slippers!
These slippers are gorgeous and super comfortable. I hesitated to buy them because it is getting warmer and I won't be wearing them for a while. However, I had tried many times to get them on the Birdies website and they were always sold out. I am thrilled that Nordstrom carries this brand. I LOVE THEM!!

Comfy flats
Truth be told, I have not worn these black Fall shoes as yet...but as far as I can tell from walking around the house, these Starling Flats are comfortable and fit true to size. Looking forward to wearing them in another month!
