What it is: A refining face exfoliator with micro-crystalline lava from the Icelandic volcano Hekla, and ground apricot seeds to buff away dead, dry skin.

What it does: This gel-to-cream formula contains sunflower oil, glycerin and a derivative of coconut oil to nourish and hydrate skin, as well as antioxidant vitamin E. The nourishing scrub leaves skin soft, smooth, refreshed and radiant.
How to use: Apply a small amount to cleansed, damp skin. Massage gently, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly. Use 1–2 times per week or as needed.

Gentle but effective
I recently tried the Bioeffect exfoliator and was pleasantly surprised. Like most people I haven’t used too many physical exfoliators since discovering chemical exfoliants several years ago, but the bioeffect one is effective but not overly harsh like many physical exfoliants. It doesn’t feel like you’re rubbing kosher salt on your face. The volcanic granules are small but pack a punch. And there is a surprisingly sweet scent that always surprises me! I love seeing the product emulsify. Exfoliating well done.

Not enough granules to be an effective exfoliator
This is the only Bioeffect product I have ever tried and I am really disappointed. The gel base is a bit strange to use and I don't find the gel effective at exfoliating or cleansing the skin. But my major gripe with this exfoliator are the scrub particles or lack of! There are hardly any so it is completely useless as an exfoliator. My skin doesn't feel or look any different at all. And it is completely overpriced at £35 for a small 60ml tube!

Gentle cleansing exfoliator
I love the Bioeffect sheet masks thought I would try this. It is a very nice gentle physical exfoliator and definitely helps smooth the skin. It also has a freshening effect and I really liked its effect. I would use this 2-3 times a week as its so gentle

EXTREMELY GENTLE - DID NOT REALLY DO MUCH
Whilst I really like the original bioeffect serum, this scrub is nothing special.
It contains tiny pumice granules in a gel base, so is very very gentle. In fact it is so gentle that I did not really feel that it did anything at all. It could probably be used every day as a face wash on all but the most sensitive skins.
I think if you are going to exfoliate, you may was do it properly a couple of times a week and use a manual or chemical exfoliating that actually does something. This would not be a repeat purchase for me.
