Always Golden Oversize Cotton Corduroy Shirt Jacket

This shirt jacket is just ok, nothing spectacular. A bit stiff. Overpriced for what it is, even on sale. Could find similar at FOREVER 21 for much cheaper. I bought it in washed black. I got a large, my true size. I wish I would've sized up. Even though it looks slightly oversized, when I cross my arms, it feels slightly snug across my back. I'm not in love, so I'm returning.

I LOVE wide wale corduroy shirts and was excited to find this one. The “off black” is a fairly good description, as it is the darkest neutral charcoal. The inverted pleat at the back yoke was a nice detail. I ordered a L to wear over T shirts, and it fit oversized but nicely on my 5’ 2” frame. It was 100% cotton, and heavy enough to wear as one might wear a sweater or fleece. The sleeve length was plenty long but not too long. However, it just felt a bit “rough” and not nice and soft; perhaps many times through the wash would have fixed that. But it also had one buttonhole that wasn’t cut open and so badly sewn that there was no way it could be used. I just wouldn’t say the quality was up to Nordstrom standards and back it went.

Ordered in desert clay color. The color is more muted than the photos show. More brown than orange/melon. Also, it's not as soft as I had hoped. Rather stiff and scratchy. It arrived with sleeves rolled. When I unrolled them I found the sleeves to be a tad too short. I'm 5'5" 160 lbs. If it shrinks at all after being washed, the sleeves would no longer work for me. I'll be returning due to lower quality than expected.
