Too much rouching; looked messy
The reviews of this dress were so amazing that I decided to give it a try. The red is a vibrant color, the fabric of the dress is heavy and luxurious and the dress is column-esque which is flattering and lengthening. But the ruching! There is so much ruching on this dress that to me, it resulted in a sloppy and wrinkled kind of appearance. The cape is beautiful but makes it difficult to get your arms in; and once in, it's hard to move your arms around. Also the neckline was too high. For reference I am 5'3", 120 lbs with a straight torso and curvy hips and bought the size 2. I was surprised the 2 was loose on me but even if I did get the waist tailored, it wouldn't have fixed the excess ruching. I've had 4 children so I do love a ruching around the belly area but this was too much ruching for me. I am returning immediately.

I felt pretty and elegant - and comfortable
Absolutely adore this dress. Terrific quality for the price point and it fit true to size. I purchased the red color, which was bold for my typical taste. Felt great in it. I got countless compliments on it at the event. It's fancy enough for a formal event, but not so flashy that it could not be worn for a nice dinner date.

Beautiful Dress but too tight/small
Lovely dress! But just too tight for me and not long enough either (I am 5'10""). I wish they made this in a size 18! and wish the dress had a two inch hem so that tall gals could lengthen this (to hit just below knees as shown on model). My measurements are 43-36-45 and I am 5'10"" Really a shame that dress manufacturers don't provide options for women like me!
