Kirwin Leather Moto Jacket

I had high hopes for this jacket, but it ended up being just an "okay" jacket. The torso was comfortable, but the shoulders were huge and the sleeves were too wide. I'm an average build 5'6" female, and I found the Large to be ill-fitting and oversized. It's possible that I may have needed a Medium instead of a Large, but that wouldn't have changed the issue with the width of the sleeves. They were wide from shoulder to wrist opening---and it threw the whole look off. The leather is neither soft, nor rock hard---it's pretty much an average quality leather, but it has enough flexibility for you to move around easily. The other disappointment is the "quilted" stitching on the upper arms and shoulders---it's so faint that it doesn't stand out at all. When you are being viewed from a normal distance by another person, the stitching is all but invisible, which makes the jacket a little less special.

This jacket is beautiful. The texture of the leather and lining is really nice. The stitching detail on the arm had a couple of snags so I’m docking it a star. Other than that I’m really excited to add this jacket to my wardrobe as a staple. I bought the petite and it does fit lengthwise in the arms (I’m 5’1”) but is a tad on the small side. Leather does tend to wear and stretch a little so I’m not too concerned, it still looks like it fits nice.

Beautiful leather jacket, I bought the black one but the chemical smell is brutal. I used several cleaning products to try to get rid of the smell, almost an impossible task. I kept it because it fits well and because I invested in the cleaning but next time I have the same issue I’ll return it immediately.
