Double Breasted Coat

This coat is horrible quality. I could see it the minute I took it out of the box, and that was with the bag still on it. First of all, it looks like felt. I'm not talking nice felted fabric. I'm talking the craft felt I used to buy my kids. I'm not super picky but wow, it looked really cheap, even from far away. I would be so embarrassed to wear this coat anywhere. Second, it says it's lined, but only the sleeves are lined. Finally, there were some deep, long creases in the coat that should not occur. They were in random places, and it wasn't because of the shipping. I can't even imagine what would happen after wearing it for a while. The bottom line is that I've never seen a coat this cheap looking, even at fast fashion stores. And those are cost less than this, even at the anniversary sale price. I'm really shocked Nordstrom would sell something like this. I've read in the past that some of the items Nordstrom sells during the anniversary sale are purposely subpar and made only for the sale. I always sort of doubted that, but this coat makes me wonder. I hope they don't plan on selling this embarrassingly cheap coat for the regular price (or really any price) after the anniversary sale.

So so disappointed. The color is a blah red not vibrant at all and the coat feels so cheap. It is not a wool coat, it is a heavy felt. There is no lining and the pockets are in an awkward place. If you want to put your hands in the pockets, which I do when I’m cold (don’t we all) the opening is not side accessible but rather top accessible. If you put your hands in the pockets you’d walk around with your arms jutting out to the side. This coat is a failure in so many levels. By back immediately.

I have been looking around for a king double breasted coat for the winter. I want a dressier coat than all the rain and snow gear I currently own. This was just okay. Other than the color nothing stood out about it. It runs slightly small so I did feel like I would be able to get the coat on comfortably with a sweater. Sent it back and the hunt continues.
