Versatile
While this is advertised as a garment for new mothers to help them regain their pre-pregnancy figure, I bought this to help "train" my aging figure back into at least a suggestion of its former self since I am WAY beyond my childbearing years. I have only worn it a few days--but all day each day. I can't yet say if it is actually training my body to shrink around the middle, but it FEELS as if it may work. It is comfortable for me on the "loosest" hook setting, and with a little effort, simple to fasten in the Medium. I am 5'9, now weigh 152 lbs. My goal is to progress to a tighter fastening. The material is firm but the soft lining prevents the boning from irritating my skin. It stays in place perfectly--doesn't ride up, fold over or slide around. Coincidentally, I'm not sure, I have lost four pounds in the week since I began wearing it. A big plus in my estimation.

poorly made
I just received the corset and noticed that it had a protruding wire. From what I could see, it appears it was not sown in. I tried it on regardless and was disappointed with the fit. It should be longer and firmer. I will be returning it.

not for petites
This is a well-made product, but I had to give it three stars because it was way too long for me. I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 119 lbs. I wanted to wear this corset under a "fit and flare" knit dress, to smooth out my mid section. Unfortunately, the stays dug into my thighs when I tried to sit. If you're a petite, this is probably not the shaper for you.

Stretched out with 3 uses!
I loved this when I got it. I remember thinking "wow who is tiny enough for that smallest hook?" I've worn it 3 times and now I'm on the tightest setting. You can see in the picture, a brand new one laying on the used one...its 2" longer now! Defeats the purpose if it stretches wider. Also, this is for surgery compression, so it's not the change from post-baby shrinking.

A Must Have
A devoted Spanx girl here but this does what Spanx can’t! Spanx controls and hugs things in but this literally SUCKS in your waist! I looked prego in my dress so I actually wore this and my Spanx on top for reinforcement and to suck in my hips- worked beautifully! The only thing I would have liked is for the front to be a tad longer to suck in the lower pouch more. I’m a big fan of this and it takes a lot to impress me as far as girdles go.

Tight
I purchased this after my 2nd c-section, about 4 weeks post. The hospital binder had gotten too loose. I ordered the medium and I'm a size 10-12 & it was just too tight. I couldn't get it to close completely, but I didn't bother ordering up, instead when I went to the store to return it, I found the TC brand and that one is perfect!! & half the price too.
