Belle Swiss Dot Tulle Tiered Maxi Dress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I heard about petal and pup through social media and decided to give it a try. They have really cute options to choose from and I decided to try the yellow and pink floral belle maxi dress. I’m 5’4” around 125 pounds and got a small but probably could have sized down to an xs because this dress has a lot of stretch. None the less it still fits and I plan on wearing it to a wedding this spring!

The color of this dress is lovely and the movement fun—I wanted to love it—but nothing could save it from the really questionable construction. The entire bodice is held up by a ~centimeter wide piece of elastic that’s attached to the *outside* of the dress and messy, loose threads inside the join. This means there’s effectively no support holding the bodice or bust up. The center keyhole also goes so low that it was sticking out with risk of exposure. Absolutely not a secure option for anyone with a larger bust.
