Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Most comfortable at the get go!
I have never tried any sandal on that was comfortable on the first try and especially ordered online. They feel exactly like my first description, “Butter” so super soft, and just an amazingly perfect fit! The quality is pretty much like another brand Officina Creative made in Italy that I’ve been looking for and those shoes had their story in italian inscribed on the bottom of the sole. I actually thought I had a pair of those on so I immediately looked under my sole. Yes! I love these shoes and I’ll check out the other styles!!! Thank you and i recommend this shoe to all that must have a comfortable shoe that’s on trend!!!

Poor fit for wide feet or true size 10's
Its a beautiful sandal. Absolutely beautiful. Its just poorly constructed. I'm a true size 10, I'm not sure why on earth a business would refuse to make sandals that actually fit much of the population, or refuse to make sandals specifically for wide feet. Like why not??
Last, the strap that goes over the top middle of the foot is just too tight. It could have fit if that strap wasn't so tight, preventing my footbed from correctly sliding all the way in. It left my foot hanging off the back of the shoe, which is not a good look for anyone.

I love the craftsmanship that
I love the craftsmanship that goes into making these little works of art. I didn't even realize they embedded a strip of Vibram sole material into the heel and under the ball of the foot--what exceptional attention to detail! I'll be testing out my Hera's on the cobblestones of Dubrovnik and Coimbra in the spring, and that Vibram portion will come in handy while I'm feeling right at home in the Roman ruins!! Ooo la la! Perfect Sandal.
This sandal is perfect. Fits perfect, color is perfect, love that it's a holistic sandal in that it's made with all natural material and even the dye is all natural. So worth the money!!

amazing craftsmanship
If you are looking for quality well made sandal these are it. You wont regret, some are different than pictured but you can use leather moisturizer to help.

Super comfortable and surprisingly stable.
They run a bit wide and maybe a tad long. But they are very comfortable and pretty stylish. Pair with long dresses/skirts and skinny jeans. My new fav.
