Claire Woven Gladiator Sandal (Women)

I prefer closed zip back, open toe sandals. But these gladiators are SOOO cute that I can forgive the trouble of having to buckle dual ankle straps! Shoe IS slightly wide, but nothing that an arch-support insert won't fix. WARNING -- COLORS CAN BE OFF (see photos). I ordered two sizes (7.0 & 7.5) of each color. The Tan Dip Dye Color on each was different -- one was TOO orange-toned for me. Both pairs of the Black Lux Color look slightly Dark Blue against my black towel background. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to secure a non-orange-toned Tan Dip Dye in a 7.0!!!

These shoes are very nice, supple, soft and comfortable leather. A+ for quality leather and construction. But I received a very different shoe than what is pictured (see my picture, which shows what I ordered on Nordstrom.com vs what I received. It's the same leather/color, and a somewhat similar style, but decidedly less feminine and attractive IMO. No buckles, no metal stud detail. Thick straps rather than slender ones. Also, the style I received either run a 1/2 size big or they are made for wider feet. My usual size was ok/maybe a tiny bit long on length but were so loose through that they wouldn't stay on my feet (which are ever so slightly narrow, although I normally do wear a M width.) I'm returning (and not willing to order again to see if I get the right shoe this time!)

These shoes are amazing when I finally get them on my feet. Each time, I struggle with the tiny buckles and short straps. Admittedly, my eyesight isn't that great but I rarely wear them just because they're so hard to get on. I've considered taking them to a shoe repair shop to see if they can put velcro in place of the tiny buckles. They don't appear to be all that small in the photo, but they are. There's no way to slip them on. You have to buckle and unbuckle each time. 2 straps on each side.
