Details & care

What it is: A liquid cleanser that helps clean your makeup sponge and is specially formulated for soaking out tough stains.

What it does: Made with demineralized water and natural sea salt to help detoxify, it also includes the soothing scent of lavender which provides aromatherapy benefits. Your sponges (and brushes, too) are left squeaky-clean with their integrity intact. Plus, it also removes excess residue and germs for clean makeup application.

How to use: Apply a dime-sized amount to your brush or makeup sponge. Work into a lather, rinse and repeat if necessary. Squeeze to remove excess water.

This is my second bottle. I like this cleanser a lot. I prefer this one to the pump design. As I have tried a couple of ways to clean my beauty blender, I came to find the best method. Make sure you don't wash it right after each use. You make the beauty blender dry with foundation on it at least 6 hours until it becomes half the size and dry. Then you damp the beauty blender with a little bit of warm water. Put one drop of this cleanser and rub it in. Focusing on the dirty spot, you try to squeeze out the dirty spots. wow! this way, your beauty cleanser gets clean with one drop of the cleanser as opposed to 3,4 drops if you clean it right after makeups. Try it!

STOP trying to make Lavender happen!!!!

I have tried to order the original beauty blender Liquid blender cleanser TWICE, and both times Nordstrom has sent me the LAVENDER scented cleanser which is NOT what is pictured, NOT what is described, and NOT the item I want. in my photo the image on the left is what Nordstrom shows as the item, but the photo on the right is stupid lavender version they keep sending me instead. DO NOT purchase this item unless you want to receive the lavender version.

Works Well Too Much Product Dispenses

This cleanser works well to clean my BeautyBlender sponges :-) (Warning: be extremely gentle with the sponge, while cleansing; I ripped one of mine, rubbing cleanser in too vigorously, rendering it fairly useless :-( ). As other reviews have noticed, the dispenser does not work as well as it could. I find that merely one pump dispenses w-a-y too much product into/onto my sponge, necessitating extra rinsing, which increase the possibility of accidental sponge-damage.

Liquid > solid

The liquid is better than the solid. The solid just smells like a bar of dove soap. Beauty blender exposed? lols

BB Cleanser: Effective, Not Essential

I use this along with a spray brush cleaner and mild soap for brushes and sponges with a week’s worth of build up and it does the trick in no time flat. Cleans well, effective, easy to use. Nice to have but not essential with other less expensive options.

Nice

I feel like the solid version works a little better. this one is a little hard to use just because of the pump. I wish it was a regular pump not a circle one.. check attached picture.. I decided to buy this one instead of the solid (I say the solid worked better because I had a sample) because you get so much more for the price. and at the same time, the solid cleanser finished so quickly! I do like it overall though cleans brushes really good but I just feel like with actually cleaning my beauty blender, it takes more product than it should.

Product may be okay but travel time was outrageous

Nordstrom's "free shipping" took 10 days for me to receive. Order placed on 7-12-25, Newark California store did not ship until 7-15-25; didn't leave California until 7-17-25, then package traversed the USA, going to Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, and finally to North Carolina, but it stayed in NC for 4 days! Wow! Had I known this, I would have PAID for shipping....gee whiz! glad it wasn't perishable food, such as chocolate.....what a mess that would have been in 100+degree weather. Have yet to try this, and I hope it was not compromised by the heat.
