Beaded Mesh Gown with Jacket

I bought 3 different styles of these Pisarro Nights long evening gowns online . They look lovely in the pictures and looked dowdy on me. I returned all of them. Because I rarely wear this kind of outfit, I had no idea what would look good or what size I needed. I bought all of them in size 6. One fit well, the others were too small, although I was glad I could tell I wouldn't like them even though they didn't fit. I went with a friend to two different department stores and tried on at least 20 different styles. It took many hours and a lot of energy. Actually we made it fun. By the end of the experience I learned a lot and discovered what I liked and didn't like. Some dresses that fit were a size 6, some size 8 and some 10. Most of the dresses that fit were size 10, although the one I bought fit well and it was a size 8. I was grateful the two stores had many of these full length evening gowns. Unfortunately the brick and mortar Nordstrom that was 30 minutes away from me closed during the pandemic. I wanted to buy from Nordstrom, but wasn't willing to drive over an hour to get to a store. There's definitely a learning curve to finding this kind of evening wear. Unlike Nordstrom, the stores where I shopped did not have helpful sales women, so I was happy I brought a friend.
