BB Dakota x Steve Madden Ruston Textured Long Sleeve Shift Minidress

I bought this to wear when I was about 3 months postpartum and well above my typical weight. Such an amazing find. I’m 5’2’ 145lbs and the M fits great. It is a thin material and probably bit see through but mostly fine.

I needed a dress that I would feel comfortable in for my aunt and uncles 50th anniversary. This dress was so comfortable and airy that I wanted to keep dancing all night. I love the color! I just bought it in black too! (and I’m not even a dress girl usually)

I wanted to love this! Pros: The fabric is light weight and won’t wrinkle; the red is a perfect burnt orange for fall; it seems somewhat forgiving for multiple shapes/sizes; black is not as see through. Cons: Red is totally see through; sleeves are really long for a 5’2 petite frame and the puff on top doesn’t help (just a lot of sleeve to this); it’s a bit tent-like/not that flattering. It’s just not the best for a curvy, short girl. I might have to return both colors. I’m 5’2 and 170 lbs. Went with XL but maybe should have sized down to the L because of being petite.

I love the color, fit, and style of this dress, however, even for the Anniversary Sale price…there is no lining?!? It is lightweight and the length is great for petites, but it’s see through. I just can’t get over the fact that there is no liner for the price of this dress!

I have two short sleeved versions of this dress - black and white for $59 each. This long sleeved dress is a disappointment. First, it is unlined and see through - the short sleeved dresses are lined. Second - no pockets like the short sleeved version. I REALLY wanted to keep this dress but it’s going back.

This dress is the perfect mix of loose fit, comfortable fabric, perfect length, has sleeves to cover flabby arms, and v-neck for attractiveness. The fabric is lightweight and soft. It packs easily for travel and looks good with flip flops or heels.
