Timeless and versatile, this full-feature bag is expandable to give you more packing space on-the-go with a rugged exterior that stands up to rigorous travel.

Closure: The zip-around closure features self-repairing YKK zippers with lockable double pulls.

Exterior features: The durable ballistic-nylon exterior resists wear, dirt and abrasion, and the two wheels provide easy concourse navigation. A large front pocket offers hassle-free access to extra items. Patented and iconic, the Outsider® handle provides optimal capacity and a flat packing surface inside to minimize wrinkling. Plus, signature SpeedThru™ pocket allows for quick access of items at security checkpoint.

Interior features: The CX™ compression-expansion system increases packing capacity, then compresses down to keep contents secure. A cinch-down mesh garment panel keeps contents from shifting and minimizes wrinkling, while a built-in trifold garment folder with a foam roll bar neatly holds one to two suits and prevents wrinkling. A mesh lid zip pocket is ideal for organizing smaller accessories like socks or ties.

Been a flight attendant for

Been a flight attendant for 32 years and this bag is unbelievable, wish I had made this purchase years ago. I'm a commuter so I back extra as I'm gone for days and I'm tall and have big feet so I need the extra room and I cannot believe how light and easy it is to roll this bag through the airports. Another flight attendant friend told me it's with the purchase and she was sooooo right!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Right Wheel is already squeeling

Extremely dissapointed with this wheel noise. I’m a pilot who used luggage works for ten years. I like the bag itself but one wheel is already squeeling. I used lubricant and cleaned the wheel and still very loud. Ridiculous for the price point to have this happen already

Great 2 wheeled luggage

The functionality and versatility of this carryon is amazing. The garment section of the carryon is quite large capacity. I was able to put 7 shirts and 3 pants which had no wrinkles when I unpacked. The lifetime guarantee and the ease of use and large capacity are great factors to purchase this carryon.

One year in thousands of miles traveled

I have been a Flight Attendant for 36 years and have owned a number of different bags over the years. One year in with the 2 wheel Baseline Essential 22" and I can honestly say that this is by far the best bag I have owned. With the flat bottom I can easily pack everything flat and I have no problem carrying everything i need for 7days of work. It pulls super easy and fits in just about every aircraft overhead bin (except very small regional jets i. e. CRJ-900) that I work or commute on. The material is solid and still looks great even after one year. I have never had a issue with the handle and I do clean the outside of the wheel bearings from time to time to remove carpet fibers so the wheels spin smoothly. Yes many will say the price is high but this is a bag for life. The crew bags we are offered from that other brand are junk and barely last a year or two. I may not have too many years left as a Flight Attendant but I know this bag will last me far beyond and into retirement. Thank you Briggs and Riley for making a quality product

So I’ve been a flight

So I’ve been a flight attendant for about five years and I’ve had the tumi 4 wheel the travel pro flight Crew 5 and I did extensive research on one of the best Crew bag amongst flight attendants and pilots and I decided to go with Briggs and Riley… the garment compartment specifically for my uniforms and the lifetime warranty is what sold me… I’ve had it for about a month now it’s sleek, it’s durable no complaints so far!

Sturdy, well-made suitcase but very heavy.

The suitcase is very sturdy and well-made; however it is very heavy empty. I travel every week for business and while I like the suitcase, I ultimately went back to my much lighter TravelPro. By the time I packed the suitcase, it was almost too heavy for me to hoist in the overhead bins. The side handle and the zippers are also on the opposite sides of the suitcase which also made it harder to get in the overhead on the plane. I'll keep the suitcase for back-up but the weight is just too much for me for weekly use.

Quality but super heavy

I purchased this bag on advice from Kit Dillon at Wirecutter. He’s a big guy who seems to think all travelers are also big guys, but we are not. I am 5’3” 112# 73 yr old and female — he has no concept of reviewing anything that will work for someone like me. This thing is really, really heavy when compared to, say, the Antler soft side. Getting it in the overhead bin when full is a recipe for a sprung back and neck. I travel solo often for work and adventure and always first class, and this one is an unforgiving, unmanageable (dare I say it?) ugly monster. Also I found the much vaunted compression to be oversold: it’s super finicky and sometimes releases on its own, a disaster waiting to happen on the road. I get that it sounds good but my recommendation is that if you are not a 6’2” 200# 30 yr old male, there are much better choices for you. I returned it for refund tout de suite, the ease of which was the best thing about the transaction.
