the arch pant
I loved these pants. Great fabric and colors. I also like lantern pants (which makes me a nobody according to other reviews) and these are much the same, but a bit narrower near the ankle. If you carry weight in your thighs, both styles are for you. I just purchase the smaller of my two typical EF pant sizes. A loose, but not sloppy, comfortable fit.

Fabric too stiff
For plus size, the fabric was just too stiff. It made the legs look like balloon animals, especially around the knees. That didn’t go at all with the top and waist style.

Barrel pants are not a tradional style!!!
I am accustom to Eileen Fisher focus on traditional styles and fabric. This fabric is near clipped velvet, is heavy, and wrinkles easily

so soft and runs big
These are what Ive always considered to be called velour. It is very stretchy and soft. Its interesting that it is so thick without being stiff. This is a testament to the price point- it is good quality. I am 5’1” 140 and got a p medium. It runs big everywhere, they fit like a large. I wish they had a small in stock. They are high waisted on me. They come to my ankles and do not appear to be cropped on me at 5’1”
