What it is: Created by Hermès' master perfumer Christine Nagel, Barénia Eau de Parfum is a sensual fragrance of rare, unforgettable elegance.
Fragrance story: It is a skin perfume, bringing together strength and softness. It expresses the instinctive, captivating facets of a woman, an unstoppable woman. The living embodiment of freedom. Blending exhilarating butterfly lily with the delicacy of miracle berry and enveloping them in oakwood with an intense patchouli, Barénia is an elusive, stirring and surprising chypre with a sensuous texture. Created by Philippe Mouquet and inspired by the Collier de Chien bracelet, the Barénia bottle balances gentle elliptical curves with the power of metal plate adorned with domed pyramid studs. At the heart of this jewel-like object is one final stud—its shape molded into the glass.

It does not even smell like perfume
This perfume is awful to me. It doesn’t even smell like perfume..I have a fine nose and I trusted the brand and the positive reviews, unfortunately I’m puzzled about how could this come up as “good” to anyone with a decent nose.
First spray, its scent comes as alcohol strong then followed by a warm honey and dry nail polisher.. Weird, ah? That’s exactly what I thought.
This is going back.

Not for me
I received the Barenia perfume from Hermes for my honest review and while I do like the packaging and how cute the bottle is I am having a hard time warming up to this fragrance it has berry note and kind of woodsy smell to it not at all fruity or floral as I had imagined. It is just not for me.

Love this scent. Only spray once and walk through it. Very unique. You will not smell like everone else. It smells like honey to me. It makes me feel pretty. Once again, use it lightly.

Great longevity, really warm notes
Owning a Hermès perfume is a fancy feeling already for me . The scent is a blend of Sego lily and miracle berry , however I only mainly smell its warm notes of patchouli and oakwood . It lasts very long but for me it’s too strong. For someone who likes warm notes , old scent this will be a good fit for you . I like the design of the bottle . It’s inspired by the Hermes bracelet.

A fragrance with true character
Barénia Eau de Parfum feels unlike anything I have tried before. It has a unique depth that instantly stands out.
