Barn Jacket

Nordstrom is NOT what it used to be. I ordered this jacket from the big sale. It was very big, so I wanted to exchange for a smaller size. The sale was over at this point. Customer service told me the do NOT do exchanges unless a service issue. They do not exchange for size or color. I would have to return and reorder at full price. (a $60 difference). This is insane to me! Every other company will gladly do an even exchange. What has happened to Nordstrom? I used to love how helpful they were. Now they just make things difficult. I will rebuy at Bloomingdales. They do at this time offer exchanges if for some reason the smaller size does not fit. :(. So word to the wise... if you are unsure of size, and it is on sale... order every size and then just quickly return. Silly, but only way to insure sale price.

There sooo much good about this jacket. Quality is superb. Color is perfect. The canvas is quality and durable and the corduroy is super soft. The color itself is great and the canvas and corduroy colors complement each other well. I am normally between M-L, normally L in jackets. But i sized down to M here and the fit was still comfortably oversized and could have worn a tee or sweater underneath. The issue with this jacket is the sleeve style. There is this weird ruffled shoulder that makes the fit super weird and ugly. I am already short 4’11 with broad shoulders and the fit was just not flattering for me, but I don’t see it working well on a tall person either. As someone who enjoys a padded shoulder and oversized blazers, this is way beyond that. The shoulders are so wide and disproportionate to the rest of the jacket, they look like E.T. phone home. Overall I’m happy with the Sanctuary brand, style, sustainable fabric choice and especially price point! I will continue shopping their line but I am sad to return this one. I wish I could have made it work somehow.

I wanted to love this, but unfortunately, it was too boxy and large. The sleeves are shorter and don't fully come down to the wrists. I got a size Large but it looked too boxy and not streamlined, especially the sleeves. This might look better on someone with a slimmer/less curvy frame.

I didn’t have this on my wish list but tried it on at the store and loved it. It has a nice oversized fit (not too oversized), is lightweight, and a great casual look.

Good quality jacket but misses the mark. Im normally a medium but purchased small. Color is definitely military green and not the brownish in the photos. Sleeves run short and shoulder area is oversized. Overall this was an awkward fit, returned.

I had my heart set on a barn jacket this season, and the Nordstorm Levis barn jacket was my fist choice looks-wise, so I ordered in largest size, XL, which was too snug in hips. I usually do order XXL in jackets, so figured I'd try this Sanctuary jacket in XXL, but was disappointed that this jacket fit similar to the Levi's XL in the hips, but was quite large in the bust/shoulders on my -- and I'm pretty busty. The drop shoulders made me look like a linebacker, so it will regrettably go back as well. Guess a barn jacket isn't in the cards for me this year.
