CozyChic Ultra Lite^™ Cardigan

This is my first barefoot dreams purchase and I was happy to get the carbon robe during anniversary sale. I just washed this item on delicate and tumble dried it on extra low, per the instructions on the tag, and it shrank to the point where I can’t wear it. It used to drape and go past my bottom and now half of my bottom is hanging out. The fabric seems to have also lost its cozy softness. I’m super disappointed because I loved this robe but it will have to be returned. I purchased two other barefoot dreams sweaters during anniversary and I haven’t worn them yet. Makes me nervous if this one shrunk so much even after I followed the care instructions. I went to the Barefoot Dreams website, and they say their fabrics can be machine washed on delicate and dried low....I even dried this on extra low and it still shrunk. Their site also indicates not to use dryer sheets? They should put this on the care instruction tags if that is important info in the care of the garment. Not a good first impression of this brand, especially for the price. I could have just gotten a budget robe at target. Very annoying.

I am on the fence about this, it is much thinner (almost seems cheap) than all my other Barefoot Dreams cardigans (hence why it is called Ultra Lite I guess) and almost has a sheen to it which I am not crazy about. I also find the drawstring waist isn't very flattering and gives it a bathrobe type of look. I think this will be nice for loungewear around the house but I don't think I would go out in it, way too casual. True to size, I bought the small and fits me perfectly (I am a size 6 5"6 135lbs)

I really like this. It's funny to me that reviews note with disdain that it looks like a bathrobe-- which is EXACTLY what it looks like in the picture, so I'm not sure how anyone could have felt deceived by that. I'm also mystified that reviewers are annoyed that it's lighter weight when it's right there in the name! The gray is a smidge darker in person than on my monitor. Anyway, I bought it as an around the house lounge item for the winter and I didn't mind the aesthetic at all. I like that it's longer and can be tied. My quibble with a lot of lounge and casual cardigans is that so many are open front and leave your front less warm than the rest of your torso, while this one covers you completely. It's definitely a lighter weight than other items by this brand, but I tend to run warm, so that's a feature, not a bug for me. I could also see this being a great postpartum lounge item.

This is the most comfy cardigan and I was super excited to snag it during the anniversary sale. However, it shrinks up in length A LOT in the wash, even though the instructions say you can tumble dry on low. It fell below my rear end when I tried it on, but it was so short after washing that I couldn't wear it anymore. Sadly I had to return.
