Bella Off the Shoulder Velvet Dress

I usually wear 2P (or regular 0) and am almost 5'3". The XS (4) runs a bit small for a 4 in terms of being snug circumferentially (around my body) but the material stretches if you buy your usual size and want a more body-con fit than shown on the model; but the arm portions were not snug enough for me (I have relatively average-to-slightly-broad shoulders and toned thin arms) and the hem fell just below my knees. I own Bardot's last season's version that has long off-shoulder sleeves and a shorter hemline in XS, which I love -- and is fitted (body con); this year's velvet dress works best for a taller slender person without narrow shoulders (or a petite who wants the hem below the knees and may need Alterations to take the shoulder portion taken in). The bodice is well-constructed and stays up "by itself." If you fit this, it's a bargain at sale price for the great quality. Esp perfect for Valentine's, Christmas, maybe a winter ball or wedding. The soft, comfy material is stretchy and a perfect quality medium thickness, and the color is pretty much what shows on my Mac (maybe just a eensy less red tone, but not so much brown that I can't wear it . . . as I can't wear brown or orange brick tones).

I am 5'6" and 130lbs with a slim/athletic build and the small fit perfectly. I wore it to a dinner event and received lots of compliments. The length was perfect. The only downside was that it was hard to dance in because it slides down a bit. Overall it was just right for my event.

I have never had so many compliments. This dress was a hit. I am curvy. I am 5’2 and 160 lbs. size 10 was super comfortable. I would highly recommend this dress. I wore silver shoes and silver jewelry

This dress is beautiful! I’m 5’9” with an athletic build and the medium fit perfectly. I love the stretch velvet for an easy zip and the boning in the bodice made it easy to wear without a bra. Couldn’t recommend it more!

I am typically a size 4. Height is 5’7” and weight 130 lbs. The dress was form fitting and looked amazing. I loved the off the shoulder look. I wore it for a holiday party and got compliments throughout the night. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this dress. It hits my curves in all the right places, yet it is still elegant at the same time. It fits true to size and is great quality. I've been looking all over for weeks now for a dress that looks like this and I am so happy that Nordstrom had it.
