Lily Beach Raffia Tote

I just received this bag and tried it. It looks good in the sense that it’s a good size, the color, and the material are also nice but where the whole thing doesn’t work is the bottom of the bag is a cardboard type of bottom. So much that I thought I would just remove it but it’s not removable as it’s in the inside the insert of the bag so when you wear the bag, the round bottom sticks up from your hips and the rest of the bag becomes mishaped which looks strange. The other thing that is not working for me is the plaid material at the top of the bag sticks out (and you can’t hide it as it is sown to stick out). It wouldn’t be a problem if it would be more of a spring or summer color or just a beige or neutral color but this plaid Fall color just doesn’t work for an obviously spring/summer bag even if I wear neutral colors. I saw it in the picture but I thought that this piece of material could be folded in the bag to hide it but it’s doesn’t so it’s going back which is too bad bc if it weren’t for these two design flaws it would have worked great.
