Highclere Hooded Waxed Jacket

I had a lot of anxiety about the sizing since it’s an oversized style but some styles run small. I’m 5’5” and about 135 and the 6 US / 10 UK fit well without being too baggy. It was the tiniest bit snug in the butt and hips (I definitely have a rounder butt and hips), but could still zip it up and there is a snap flap at the bottom you can undo for more mobility or comfort. The olive color isn’t very olive in person. It’s more like a black with a brown hue to it. Not a bad color, but I don’t see any green or olive tones in it at all really. Even in sunlight it’s more of a muddy black. My other kind of complaint is that this style is made in Turkey for being a brand that’s really proud of its British made heritage. I like the jacket enough to keep it, but I did feel disappointed seeing the “Made in Turkey” tag in it. So just something to be aware of. It’s also very surprisingly warm since it’s not a super breathable material. If it’s a cool sunny day and you’re wearing long sleeves, this might be too warm for those days. But otherwise it’s very very comfortable and looks great. I also had read on other sites that people complained about the smell of the waxed cotton. I didn’t find an off putting odor at all. The smell is mild and if anything it reminds me of the smell of military fatigues in an odd sort of way. But it was just something I’d read doing research that people complained about that I found to be a total non-issue.
