Ergonomics enter the fashion mainstream via this leather bootie based on FiveFingers, the training sneaker released in 2005 by Italian shoe manufacturer Vibram. Meant to mimic the sensation of walking barefoot, the five-toed design is made with a supple calfskin upper, a treaded, contoured sole and a slim rubber heel that's better suited to walking the runway than to running.
