City Select^® LUX Second Seat Kit

This stroller is thee best for two little ones. My husband and I prefer this set up compared to a double side by side stroller. The fabric upgrade on this Lux 2017 is very nice. Folds easy, maneuvers easily and is super convienient when they both sleep. (2 1/2 yr old and 9 month old) A few things we don't like are how to get the kids in and out of the buckles, it's super annoying. The main thing we are worried about is the elastic on the basket wearing out. On the older models the basket has zippers to allow for easy access. This 2017 Lux has only the elastic, so as much as you take stuff in and out it makes you think the elastic might not last long! Other than those few things we love it!

I am also extremely disappointed with the baby jogger brand. I too bought the LUX stroller because of how specifically it was marketed to a growing family. Now we are unable to get the second seat attachments to make the stroller usable without being price gauged by other sellers if anything is available at all. The brand really let down me and others I know that are first time parents making an investment in a stroller to grow with your family.

I purchased the City Select Lux in 2020 but now I learn it's discontinued and I can't buy any of the accessories or other products. It is so bizarre to me that other strollers wouldn't be compatible. Why can't I use the City Select 2 second seat adapters on the Lux? Why can't I purchase the bench seat anymore? The biggest reason I bought this stroller was for its versatility and adaptability but it's no longer versatile or adaptable. It's just a giant single child stroller. This was a huge investment down the drain, which is a shame because we like this stroller. Is there no way to get these products still? Why didn't Baby Jogger notify its customers? I registered my stroller and would have snatched these products up right away had I known the Lux was going to be discontinued. This is very poor customer service.

I bought the City Select Lux in 2021. I specifically chose it over the uppa baby for the bench seat. Now that I’m expecting my second, I find out that the stroller is discontinued and you cannot find a bench seat or second seat anywhere! This is very upsetting that such a new stroller you cannot get parts for and it is not interchangeable with any other baby jogger parts. It would have been nice to know at least they were planning to discontinue so I could not have bought it, or bought the parts I needed before it sold out. What a waste of money.
