The Guard Me retractable safety gate is the flexible, space-saving solution for creating baby-safe zones in your home. Simply mount the accordion-fold gate to the opening you wish to guard (wide or narrow). Pull out and press down the handle side button to close and latch the gate, then reverse the process to open and restore it to its compact stored position.

Good baby gate, incorrect description
This baby gate is nice and of good quality. The reason for the 3 star rating is because the description of the item is incorrect. It states the gate spans up to 44.5 inches. This is wrong. It spans to 35 inches...and can go up to 44.5 WITH THE EXTENSION, which is purchased separately. Be aware before you purchase.

best baby gate on the market
This baby gate is amazing!! We’ve had them up all around our house for over 5 years now. They’re sturdy and they aren’t an eye sore like most! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This gate is SO smart!
This gate is awesome, pics don't do it justice! It's super sturdy, was easy to install, and I LOVE that it moves out of the way so easily and quickly with one hand. Bonus - it isn't an eyesore in my house with no place to put it when it doesn't need to be up. I seriously looked everywhere for a non-obtrusive way to keep my kiddo safe, and finally this one did the trick. Honestly, don't buy anything else, this is the one you want.

Wow, such an attractive and unique gate!!!
Best gate I have ever used! It basically disappears when it isn't in use! I am using it for the bottom and top of the stairs and it's a lifesaver (literally) in keeping my baby safe since my little guy is all over the place now! My husband installed it quickly because there are youtube videos detailing every step. So many friends with kids have ordered the gate because of how it looks and works in my home. I cannot recommend this gate enough. I may even get a couple for the grandparents house for the holidays to make the holidays more safe and less stressful for everyone.
