Avenue Fringe Pointed Toe Boot (Women)

The online Nordstrom product shot looks to be a Balenciaga pre production sample image. The actual boot is shorter, less fringe and more narrow around leg. I returned as it’s not as statement for the price for me. I prefer the Balenciaga look book version which I guess they did not make.

These are super fun shoes. The heel is lower than expected. I had them on my wish list for a while and then happened to go into a store and saw them on display, so tried them on. Very comfortable and easy to walk in other than the fact that the front of the shoe is VERY dramatic and long. I absolutely love it. The fringe is also a really fun addition. It's somehow both Western-inspired and almost bird/crow-like; something I think Moira Rose would have loved to wear. They are my first pair of Balenciaga shoes, so I can't speak to whether they run true to size vs. their other fits, but the sales associate mentioned they run a little big so if between to order down. I typically wear 39.5 in heels for other designers and usually size up to a 40 in boots for room (8.5 in non-designer shoes). These 39s fit like a dream other than the middle of the foot (right below your ankle), which was slightly tight, but the associate said that's the part that will stretch out most and mold to your foot so I think it'll be perfect.
