How to use: Apply a small amount to palms and rub together to emulsify. Work evenly through dry hair with fingertips to create medium hold and separation. Layer more as needed to eliminate static or flyaways without adding weight.

Best for fine, thin hair - easy to use
This stuff is the best. I've been using it for over 6 years. As a middle aged man, I have a receding hair line and thin hair to begin with. I never felt comfortable using the paste products that you had to warm up in your hands before applying as I always felt they pulled too much on my hair and I'm trying to keep my hair as much as possible. This stuff is like Cool Whip. So easy to use and just the right amount of hold. Never greasy, just a good light hold. I just put some in my hands, and run it thru my hair and then style my hair with my hands. If they ever stop making it I will be depressed. It has a light Aveda type scent, but it is spicy and nice, but I don't smell it after I use it, unlike other products that you smell it on yourself the entire day.

Not good...
I am surprised at how bad this product is for me. It's kind of sticky and dry on my hair, which is long and layered, medium hair shaft with many hairs per square inch. There is no shine from this product; frankly it just made my hair look dirty and greasy with zero definition to my substantial waves! Other than the classic Aveda great scent, it's a loser...

Not good...

I returned it
Too waxy/sticky. I just wanted to shampoo it out. Tried it twice. Once accidently on wet hair. Then on dry, as directed. Same. Awful. And I love Aveda. Highly recommend the Be Curly line. That line picks up my soft waves and makes them better.

I will buy this product again.
My hairdresser used this product on my hair and it is brilliant for my hair type. It smooths the frizz and stops it being fly away. Non-greasy.
