Perfect protection!
I've experimented with so many spf formulas intended for daily use - but until now, everything I tried had serious drawbacks. They made my oily skin look oilier, or provoked breakouts, or somehow irritated my eyes. But I've noticed some age spots developing on my skin recently, so I doubled down on my search for a sunscreen I could live with. This is it - and then some! It actually seems to make my simple powder foundation (for oily skin) go on more smoothly, and retain its freshness longer. No eye irritation, no breakouts, better-looking skin - I'm SOLD. Thank you, Nordstrom, for carrying a stellar product I might not otherwise have tried!

Check the size before buying
Caveat emptor! I ordered this online, & when I opened the box, I thought Aveda had made a mistake & sent me a sample instead of the full-size sunscreen I'd ordered. I felt pretty stupid when I realized that the tiny one-ounce bottle was the full size. I live in sunny Los Angeles, & this size would last about two weeks, even in winter. I know Aveda products are expensive, but this is ridiculous. There are several excellent non-comedogenic all-mineral facial sunscreens out there, made by major skincare & cosmetics companies, that are a far better value. If you live in the dark, this is the sunscreen for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere & you'll find the same quality sunscreen for an actual fair price. This is probably wonderful sunscreen, but I'm giving it one star because it's severely overpriced.

Expensive
We ran out of the 5oz bottle of the same product. I order this online not bothering to check the size. You are basically buying a 1oz sample/travel size sunscreen for $45. :( Need to find a more affordable alternative.

Love This!
I love this sunscreen. It's non-greasy and very light weight. The reason I give it a 4 is because I'm a deeper skin tone. I'd say about Rihanna's skin tone and it leaves a white cast on my complexion. Please figure out how to diminish the appearance of that white cast. I know that mineral sunscreens sit on top of the skin unlike chemical sunscreens which Is fine. It would just help tremendously if that white cast could be eliminate and still be effective. Also, please come out with an SPF body product. I use all Aveda products, but have to go to another brand for my body SPF.

Love this Facial Sunscreen
I use this sparingly for my face, neck and chest above my bathing suit. As an Aveda rep stated earlier, you don't need much. Shake the bottle and squirt some into the palm of your hand. It goes on easily and smoothly. I think there are other sunscreens to use on your body. This is excellent for face, neck and chest.
