What it is: A firm-hold hair spray that offers long-lasting hold and humidity defense.
Who it's for: All hair types.
What it does: The fast-drying, nonflaking formula contains UV filters and antioxidants in addition to organic essential oils of Bulgarian lavender, bergamot, palmarosa and vetiver, which produce a calming aroma. Aveda funds renewable wind energy to offset the CO2 associated with the manufacturing, transportation and use of control force to help ensure it has a net-zero impact on the Earth's climate.
How to use: Hold the can 10-12 inches from dry hair and mist lightly. Layer the product for extra hold.

This stuff really holds!
Have you ever had the best hair day of your life, only to have it flop 10 minutes after you styled it? Well I have, and its so frustrating! But those days are gone now that I've discovered Aveda Control force firm hold hair spray. This hair spray delivers on its promise for long lasting hold even in the most humid conditions. I wanted something that wouldn't dry out my thin fine hair and at the same time not give me "helmet head" I found it in this formula. I was relieved when after waking up and my hair wasn't a disaster, that I could brush it out easily without that stiff build up that other firm hold sprays leave behind. Do yourself a favor and try it, it even comes in a convenient travel size so you can give it a go.

Large Cans Clog, Travel Size is Gone :-(
The only way to buy this hairspray, if you don't use it every single day, is to buy the travel size cans. The large cans clog WAY too easily and I can't get them to work even after running the nozzle under hot water. But Aveda, inexplicably, stopped selling the travel size. I don't get it! PLEASE BRING BACK THE TRAVEL SIZE! This used to be my favorite hairspray, but I don't buy it anymore because of that.

Good hold for finer hair
My favorite is Tr- Aerogel hairspray. I have fine hair but a lot of it and this does a good job as a backup. I use it when back combing at roots for body and would recommend. Slight smell but pleasant.

Need the travel size!
This hairspray is worth the price. I've tried so many other brands and this is the only one that actually holds for me. I travel frequently and would love to see this in a small size that meets carry on requirements.

Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray
This hairspray is just wonderful. I use it as part of the AVEDA styling routine in which I was given instruction for my dry, color-treated fine, very frizzy hair. It is especially useful for the humidity. It works great! What more can I say! I use it whenever I style my hair now. This is not like the hairsprays of yesteryear. If you have very frizzy hair, this is the hairspray to use!
