Excellent for taming textured hair
I have fine, natural textured african american hair. i use a small amount on my hair whether I am wearing it curly or straight and it eliminates the poof from the rain or humidity. this product will not weigh hair down. this jar will certainly last a long time.

Wish it worked for me...
I have thick, wavy hair that I usually blow dry straight. I had hoped that this pomade would be the finishing touch - that it would smooth out my hair and make it less puffy after blow drying. Instead, it made my hair really greasy and separated. I barely used any product, thinking I had just used too much the first time, but it didn't help. The pomade smelled great, but I had to return it.

Can't live w/o it
This is a great smelling finishing pomade that I have used for years. My hair is thick and softly layered. I blow it dry with a little bend at the ends. Regardless of the climate, whether traveling home to Boston or living here in SW FL (this is home now), I always rub some into my hands and place it on the ends of my layers. A little goes a long way. What it does to the ends is separate them ever so slightly for a really polished look. In FL I use more and apply it all over, but place most of it on my ends. Fly away hair prevention, great shaping, less effect from humidity, shine...

BEST HAIR PRODUCT EVER
I have used 'brilliant' Anti-Humectant Pomade for many, many years and I can not imagine life without it.
My hair is very curly and can get very frizzy.
It is also very thick.
A small dab of this on damp hair - just before blowing it dry - makes my hair smooth and manageable. It is humid here and this is the only thing that has ever kept it from frizzing.
It also gives my hair a nice sheen.
You do have to be careful not to use too much.
This is a good thing. One jar lasts me a long time.
I now use it with Aveda 'brilliant' Retexturing Gel and together they are even better.
I love the scent and I highly recommend this product.

Nordstrom is the best!!!!!!'
I was looking for Aveda Brilliant (have been using it for more than a year and it works) and had trouble finding it at the right price. Never thought I would find it at Nordstrom, but shipping was free. I love ordering from Nordstrom because every shipment is hassle free. Best customer service ever!

Humidity Fighter!
My salon has been using this on my hair for years. I am not a hair product girl generally but I finally decided to try this to help combat the major frizz I get when it's humid. I love it! I apply it when blow-drying my hair and it makes my feel smooth and soft. I also apply it when flat ironing or styling. You don't need a lot of it either. I dab it on my ends when flat ironing and a small amount throughout when blow-drying. It's also lightweight so it won't weigh your hair down and make it flat like some anti-frizz products can.

Great Product for African-American Hair
My my my! This is a great product for relaxed hair. You don’t need a whole lot so this very small bottle will last a long time. I dry under the hooded dryer to get my hair mostly dry. Then I finish off with the blow dryer. I put a very small amount of this pomade in my hand and rub it all through the hair. Then I put a small drop of AVEDA dry remedy oil and rub it all through my hair. Finally, I flat iron. It makes for gorgeous hair and very little shedding. You can try the AVEDA dry remedy shampoo. It doesn’t lather much, but it is good. The dry remedy conditioner is a NO GO. It tangled my hair badly.
