Yes, ultimately an essence!
I am so pleased with this product and have wanted to try for a long time. This is essentially an essence that is used after washing and before moisturizing. I have very dry skin, and this helps seal in the moisture. I was buying other essences for literally 3xs as much. I’m so happy. It truly locks in the moisture and has a nice scent of rose that’s not overpowering.

Hydrating treatment “lotion”
This product should be renamed. I inadvertently ordered it thinking it was my regular hydrating lotion. This product is not a lotion. It is basically a toner.

Not what I thought.
The name of this product is almost identical to the lotion that I thought I had ordered. Excited to receive the product and upon opening realized it wasn’t what I thought I had ordered. Albeit not Nordstroms fault but Aveda has two products that can easily be confused for one or the other.

Excellent hydration treatment lotion!
I too brought the hydration treatment lotion by mistake; however; I am very pleased with how it keeps my skin moist throughout the day. I have decided to start purchasing both the treatment lotion that really helps keep my skin moist in the Florida sun and the creamy lotion.
