Slouchy Leather Jacket

This jacket looks better in the photos. What you cannot tell from the pics is that the leather, although soft, is very thin. It also has a strange odor, and I’m not sure I want to go around smelling like that. The difference in the smell is because it’s made in India, and they tan their leather differently than Italy, Brazil, US, etc. I’ve noticed the difference in leather smell on handbags & shoes too. In the past, my leather jackets were soft & buttery, but thicker leather, and they didn’t wrinkle like this one. This jacket arrived in a box with ample room so it did not get squashed, yet it is wrinkled all over, and I don’t know how to get the wrinkles out! I certainly can’t wear it around in this condition. I have it hanging to see if the wrinkles will eventually smooth out, but I noticed the shoulders already have stretch marks, so I may have to find somewhere to lay it down long term. I did not have problems with the snaps, but the collar will not lay correctly due to severe wrinkles. I agree with another reviewer that the snap cuffs do not allow enough room for a long sleeved sweater.
