Double Breasted Wool Blend Coat

I felt compelled to write a review because 2 people have mentioned that they’re disappointed there are no pockets on this and another winter coat. They indeed have pockets that are sewn shut for shipping as is often the case for jackets and blazers. You open them by snipping the thread with a scissors or seam ripper. On to the product I’m a 14 and went with the XL to accommodate my broad shoulders and if I want to wear over a blazer I need the extra room but it still maintains a nice tailored fit. My only complaint is the sleeves are a tad long. I also tried on a Large in the store but that would probably only work if I was wearing over a cocktail dress and even then the Large was tight to close in the waist and I carry my weight on top not in the stomach area.

Fits perfect. I’m 5’9 with long arms. Normally sleeves are too short. These sleeves are perfect. I ordered a small.

I bought a medium in this coat and didn’t notice it was labeled a maxi coat. Unfortunately I just looked at the picture and it showed length was right below knee. I’m 5’5” and it almost hit the floor in flat shoes. It was heavy and seemed well made. I did return it as it is a coat for really cold winter— too heavy and long for my region.

The red is stunning in person. It has a nice weight to it and is very warm. I’m 5’7 and it comes to my mid calf. I’m from California and the weather hardly ever warrants this kind of coat, but it is a great statement piece. (: I’ve paired it with a cocktail dress and jeans and have gotten so many compliments. I’m considering getting it in black. Get it. You will love it!

I ordered the coat in the color black, size XS. I am about 5'8 and weigh around 120 pounds. I have a small frame, so coats tend to run very large on me. This coat had a bit of extra room, but not too big for me to want to return/size down. It actually fits me pretty well, while most coats are huge on me in the shoulders and waist! To be clear, I do prefer a tailored and slim fit in a coat. As for the material, I am not the biggest fan of it. I feel it attracts lint and will pill, but I purchased this as a back-up because the coat I wanted is out of stock. That said, it does feel very warm and appropriate for upstate NY winters. I haven't checked the pockets but I have heard other reviewers mention there are no pockets? I think they are simply sewn shut as with most coats and jackets. I love the style. Classic and neither too feminine nor masculine in my opinion. Will go with most outfits for winter so long as they are not very formal. I also like the multiple buttons and double-breasted feature--this covers the chest more and provides more warmth as well as looks better with a scarf or fur collar. The length I also like, although it may be too long for someone shorter (perhaps 5'4" or shorter). On me, it hits about where it does on the model. For the price it is good.

Last year I bought this coat in red I am normally a size 10 in coats so I got the medium (8-10) but it was way too small more like an 8 than a 10 I couldn’t even move my arms. Fortunately, I was able to return it for a large (12-14) which was a little big but perfect to wear over sweaters. So when I saw during the anniversary sale that the coat now comes in a beautiful blue color I ordered that in large. I love both coats, the colors are great the style is very classic and elegant, it is long but I am tall and that’s one feature I like about it. I’m just waiting for colder weather so I can wear them!
