How to use: After cleansing and prepping your skin, gently massage the desired amount of cream over your face, neck and décolletage. Smooth the cream along your jawline in upward sweeping motions. Sweep from your nose to your ears and across your forehead. Massage the cream over your cheeks to your temples. Apply from the base of your neck to the tip of the chin. Take any excess cream and massage over your décolletage.

Must-have for rosacea/sensitive skin.

I have rosacea and my skin is sensitive, but I really wanted to use tretinoin for anti-aging. I finally found the perfect combo of ceramidin toner, hyaluronic acid, tretinoin and then this cream. I've tried other moisturizers for that final step but NOTHING kept me from getting super red and flaky except this one. I use this even on nights I don't use retinol - my skin wakes up plump and soft and even-toned. I live on the Gulf Coast (hot + humid) but this sinks right into my skin so it never feels too heavy, even during summer. I would never wear this during the day though. It's pricy but one tub lasted almost six months with almost nightly use (you really don't need a lot).

Very disappointed

As I have stressed skin prone to irritation, I was thrilled when this cream was launched and had high hopes. It seemed like the answer. Unfortunately, after one use my skin was bone dry with a red patch that nearly broke my skin. I was horrified and do not understand the cult status of the Augustinus Bader line. It doesn’t come close to living up to the hype. I had to give it one star because there is no zero star option. Just say no.

Horrible! Bad!

The smell! The smell! It is ridiculous to have a high end cream smell so horrible. And I actually liked the cream, but could never tolerate the smell. Big fail.

Had high hopes

About six months ago I started using the AB The Cream with amazing results, my combination skin loves it. When I read the description for The Ultimate Soothing Cream I thought it would be a dream because my skin irritates easily, but unfortunately my skin is not a fan. I didn’t find it to be even as hydrating as The Cream and my skin responded so horribly to using it, on day two I woke up incredibly dry with a massive amount of small whiteheads all over my face. I’m 41 so while they still happen as a one off occurrence from time to time, not like this. I’m really impressed with the quality and effectiveness of the Augustinus Bader line, but this particular product was a fail for me personally. I’ll go back to using The Cream instead.

LOVE

This is such a wonderful cream! I actually mix it with the rich cream, and it gives my skin a beautiful matte, polished look. I only wish this soothing cream were offered in a larger size, a little goes a long way, but I do love to slather it on!
